when you first log in you will be at tutorial island just talk to the guide and he will take you to the mainland.
you start off with many things e.g. runes,money,teleports etc..
to pk just teleport to edgeville with your glory and the shops are south of the bank.
to skill just find out which skill you want to level and either look for a guide on forums or ask around.
